How short-film characters are defined

Chosen character: Dahlia

How the 3 things about Vincent Vega in Pulp Fiction apply to Dahlia:
1. The car she would drive?
Vincent Vega drives a Chevy Malibu. Dahlia is young, but she loves jazz, and has an affinity for that period, so she is more likely to choose a car that is modern, but has elements of the past in it, whilst also being affordable for a young musician struggling to find work/a spot in a conservatoire; Volkswagen Beetle.
2. What would she order in a restaurant?
Vincent orders a steak bloody as hell. Again, being a young 'jazz cat', Dahlia would probably want something more sophisticated, yet simplistic, with a lot of soul to it; a truffle pasta with a glass of coke.
3. What music would she listen too?
Vega listens to Elvis. Dahlia would very clearly listen to jazz, almost all the time. She would listen to different sub-genres, but the late 50s early 60s era of swing jazz is probably what she would listen to the most, as a lot of the epic tracks with impressive vocals have string accompaniments which her cello would be apart of.

5 more things about Dahlia that won't be disclosed in the film:
1. She struggles financially; although it won't be said or even really referred to, it's part of what would drive her character's determination.
2. Dahlia's parents are immigrants from America, which adds to the impact of her struggling to find her way through the higher education system since her parents didn't grow up with the same school system and therefore struggled to help her growing up.
3. Dahlia's talent is what got her picked up by Wilfred at 'Kent Records', and he acts as her agent out of his own pocket since he believes so firmly in her talent
4. Dahlia is 19; again, not explicitly told, but the character is coming from a place of taking a gap year after struggling with her first year of applications; also explaining why she's had time to be picked up by Wilfred.
5. Dahlia hates reading; the lack of an audible experience means she would just much rather listen to music or watch a film, thats how much it means to her.
